Meinhardt Pakistan, a leading engineering consultancy firm, is proud to be associated with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Institute of Neuroscience and Clinical Research (KINAR) project.

KINAR is a state-of-the-art teaching hospital with 430 beds, and will be designed in two portions: a treatment portion and a training/learning portion.

Here are some of the key highlights of the KINAR project:

• 430-bed teaching hospital: KINAR will be one of the largest teaching hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and will provide a wide range of medical services to the people of the province.
• Two portions: The hospital will be divided into two portions: a treatment portion and a training/learning portion. The treatment portion will house the hospital’s wards, operating theaters, and other clinical facilities. The training/learning portion will house the hospital’s medical school, research facilities, and library.
• Monitoring system: The hospital will be equipped with a state-of-the-art monitoring system that will allow doctors and nurses to monitor patients’ vital signs and other data remotely. This will help to improve the quality of care and patient safety.
• Three segments: The hospital will be divided into three segments:
1- treatment segment,
2- patient accommodation segment, and
3- accessories.
The treatment segment will house the hospital’s wards, operating theaters, and other clinical facilities. The patient accommodation segment will house the hospital’s patient rooms, nurses’ stations, and other support facilities. The accessories segment will house the hospital’s cafeteria, pharmacy, and other ancillary facilities.
• Project area: The total project area is 444,656 square feet. The hospital building will be 337,856 square feet, the administration block will be 11,400 square feet, the auditorium will be 11,400 square feet, the apartments will be 68,000 square feet, the doctor residences will be 14,000 square feet, and the mosque will be 2,000 square feet.
